After emerging from the 2008 Mortgage downfall, this regional player came out even stronger and began to grow through acquisition. After merging several Mortgage Servicing centers a single LSS was selected, but there was no system in place to track the increase in the number of Collateral documents and files.

As the Collateral Group began to process Mortgage Exceptions from a variety of Custodians, they found each Custodian had their own procedures for requesting and returning Collateral documents. Each Custodian also delivered their Exceptions in different formats with different document codes.

There was also no means of assigning work to the Collateral workers and Collateral files received from the Custodians were becoming lost.

OPUS^x provided a solution that allowed the Custodian Mortgage Exception to be easily uploaded and assigned to the appropriate Collateral specialist. Files could be requested with custom request forms and were tracked when received.

Collateral workers' productivity dramatically increased since all their workflow processes were contained in a single web based system.
